During this project, we studied the relationship between the human being and his environment.
A couple was analysed based of a certain song, how do we emotionally translate this to their living environment? My personal interpretation and feeling was this of a rather withdrawn couple, who are strongest when they can be by themselves. Serenity is therefore central to the concept. This is translated by integrating water into the design, the feeling and use of water has a calming effect. In general, the design consists of perpendicular volumes, there is no organic line to be found.
The design was kept quite sober and raw materials were used to decorate and finish it. For me, the softness of the water combined with the rough materials reflects the character of the couple.
